EcoLaser™, Ecopaque™ and Ecopaque Laser™, the latest additions to our market-leading line of uncoated freesheet (UFS)substitute grades, reflect this focus on innovative, environmentally friendly products. These ecologically advanced papers use up to 50% less wood fiber, are chlorine-free and are manufactured with a greener production process that requires less water than is needed to produce the conventional freesheet products they are designed to replace.
Another crucial consideration in terms of stewardship is what happens to a product at the end of its useful life. AbitibiBowater is the leading recycler of old newspapers and magazines in North America and one of the largest in the world. We transform discarded reading material into more than 40 different grades of brand-new recycled paper.
